Suárez finished eighth in the first stage to earn three bonus points. Varying pit strategies jumbled the field in the second stage, but Suárez continued a fast pace. In the final stage, Suárez took fuel only during a green-flag pit stop with 38 laps left in the race. The move likely would have led to a top-10 finish if the race had stayed caution free, but a caution with 20 laps remaining bunched the field and Suárez held on for 13th-place. Saturday marked the fourth consecutive top-15 finish for the Trackhouse Racing team. The NASCAR Cup Series return to action Sunday, June 27 for the second of two weekend races in Pocono. Suárez will start Sunday’s race in eighth after NASCAR inverted the top 25 finishers from Saturday. . NBCSN will televise Sunday’s race at 3:30 p.m. EDT. Daniel Suárez, driver of the No. 99 CommScope Chevrolet Camaro for Trackhouse Racing: “It was OK result. I feel like the car was fast today. It’s a gamble. You have to gamble and you have to stick with it; and unfortunately, it didn’t work out for us today, but hopefully it does tomorrow. We had, what I felt like, a top-10 car, sometimes even a top-five. We ended up 13th. We have to make a couple of adjustments to be a little bit better for tomorrow.”
