• Trackhouse Racing’s Daniel Suárez finished 25th in Sunday’s 300-mile NASCAR Cup Series race at the Iowa Speedway.
• Suárez struggled during the weekend but improved throughout the race, climbing as high as ninth in the final stage before fading tires in the final laps dropped him to 25th.
• The first stage saw Suárez finish 28th.
• Shane Van Gisbergen brought out the caution with wall contact on lap 170. The caution was good fortune for Suárez, who hadn’t pitted. Suárez finished the stage in 14th
• The NASCAR Cup Series returns to action on Sunday at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International.
