Races September 12, 2025 Premature End to 99 Trackhouse Chevrolet’s Race in Illinois Date: September 7th, 2025 Event: Enjoy Illinois 300 (Round 28 of 36) Series: NASCAR Cup Series Location: World Wide Technology Raceway (1.25-mile oval) Format: 240 laps, broken into three stages (45 laps/95 laps/100 laps) Start/Finish: 26th / 35th (running, completed 64 of 240 laps) Point Standing: 27th with 482 points Notes: Trackhouse Racing’s Daniel Suárez finished 35th in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at World Wide Technology Raceway near St. Louis. The St. Louis race marked the second of 10 playoff races. One race remains in the first round of the playoffs, when four of the 16 playoff drivers will be eliminated. Four drivers will be eliminated every three races, with the four remaining drivers competing in a winner-take-all Championship race at Phoenix Raceway on Nov. 8. The third race in the Round of 16 is Saturday at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway. Suárez didn’t get a chance to race at the end. He climbed into the top 15 in the second stage, but on lap 62, his car was pushed into Turn 1 wall by another car. The damage ended his race a few laps later.
