Races May 12, 2025 Choice Hotels Chevrolet Struggled with Balance and Speed All Race Date: May 11th, 2025 Event: Advent Health 400 (Round 12 of 36) Series: NASCAR Cup Series Location: Kansas Speedway in Kansas City (1.5-mile oval) Format: 267 laps, broken into three stages (80 laps/85 laps/102 laps) Start/Finish: 8th / 34th (accident, completed 201 of 268 laps) Point Standing: 27th with 209 points Notes: Trackhouse Racing’s Daniel Suárez finished 34th in Sunday’s 400-mile NASCAR Cup Series race at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City. Suárez took a wave around and returned to the lead lap in 20th with 70 laps to go, but unavoidable contact with two other cars on the restart ended his race with a 34th-place finish. Suárez started the race eighth, his best oval start of the season. After a lap-eight caution, the first stage ran the final 70 laps without a caution, dropping nearly half the field off the lead lap. Suárez finished 23rd a lap down. The second stage ran without a caution. Suárez stayed a lap down in 26th. Only 18 cars were on the lead lap at the end of the second stage. The NASCAR Cup Series returns to action on Sunday, May 18, at North Wilkesboro (N.C.) Speedway for the 41st NASCAR All-Star Race. Daniel Suárez, driver of the No. 99 Choice Hotels Chevrolet Camaro for Trackhouse Racing: “He (Ty Dillon) was on new tires and drove into the corner and wrecked the No. 51 (Cody Ware) and myself there. We were just in the wrong place there, but at the end of the day, it’s our fault. We shouldn’t be in those positions and in those situations. I thought our No. 99 Choice Privileges Chevrolet had decent speed, but we never had a shot. We just fired off today very, very off balance. We were super, super tight. Eventually, we got it a little bit better, but our car was just off on balance. I feel like our car had potential, but we just didn’t do a good job with our adjustments overnight.”
