  • Suárez drove from 31st to 15th and looked ready to contend with the leaders, but a front-stretch stack-up to start Stage 2 saw the No. 99 incur severe front-end damage.
  • The team made repairs throughout the race, but he was unable to regain his pre-accident speed.
  • The NASCAR Cup Series returns to action on Sunday at Iowa Speedway.

Daniel Suárez, driver of the No. 99 Freeway Insurance Chevrolet Camaro for Trackhouse Racing:

“That was unbelievable. I am so disappointed. We had a really fast Freeway Insurance Chevrolet today. It’s been a while since we were that good. There wasn’t anything I could do. They started stacking up in front of me and there was nowhere to go. My guys did a good job working on the car and keeping us out on the track. If we can bring that good a car each weekend then we are going to have some fun the rest of the season.”
