Races June 10, 2024 Caution Filled First Two Stages, Green Final Stage Date: June 9th, 2024 Event: Toyota Save Mart 350 (Round 16 of 36) Series: NASCAR Cup Series Location: Sonoma Raceway (1.99-mile road course) Format: 110 laps, broken into three stages (25 laps/30 laps/55 laps) Start/Finish: 7th / 14th (running, completed 110 of 110 laps) Point Standing: 19th with 316 points Notes: Trackhouse Racing driver Daniel Suárez finished 14th in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race on the road course at Sonoma (Calif.) Speedway near San Francisco. It was two different races on Sunday with eight cautions falling in the first two stages, but the final stage was caution-free. It marked Suárez’s fifth top-15 finish of the season. Suárez started seventh, and stayed at the front of the field with the Monterrey, Mexico native finishing eighth in the first stage. The Trackhouse driver stayed on the track until pitting in the closing laps of stage two for fuel and tires. The all-green flag final stage saw Suárez climb from the back of the pack to 14th without the aid of a caution. The Cup Series returns to action on Sunday for the inaugural race at Iowa Speedway. It wasn’t what we expected or wanted, but that’s a pretty decent finish. We showed improvement this weekend and gained a lot from practice and qualifying. We’ll keep working at it and be ready for Iowa next week.”
