Start/Finish: 9th / 22nd (running, completed 110 of 110 laps)

Point Standing: 17th with 328 points

Notes:

  • Trackhouse Racing driver Daniel Suárez finished 22nd in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series road course race at Sonoma (Calif.) Speedway.
  • Suárez is four points outside playoff contention with 10 races remaining in the regular season.
  • There were just two cautions for six laps during Sunday’s 110-lap race.
  • The final caution saw the race restart with 15 laps remaining with Suárez in 22nd and driving on fresh tires. However, the Monterrey native could not gain significant positions in the closing laps.
  • Suárez started ninth but fell to 29th on the opening lap after a missed shift.
  • A caution at lap 51 of the 110-lap race enabled Suárez to restart seventh.
  • The Cup Series will enjoy its only off weekend of the season before returning to action June 25 at Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway.
