At the end of the first stage the team brought the No. 99 to the garage for further repairs before returning to the track. Suárez ran the remainder of the race without incident. There was no practice or qualifying for Sunday’s race. The Cup Series returns to action Sunday, July 18 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon. NBCSN will televise Sunday’s race at 3:30 p.m. EDT. Daniel Suárez, driver of the No. 99 Good Sam Chevrolet Camaro for Trackhouse Racing: “I don’t even know what to say. I guess we were in the wrong place at the wrong time. The guys did a good job keeping us racing. Just very disappointed because we knew we had a fast car. We will dig ourselves out of this hole. I can guarantee you that. We are bringing fast cars to the track. If we keep doing that we are going to be fine.”
