Races May 2, 2023 Sunday’s Heavy Rain Forced Race to Monday Afternoon Date: April 30th, 2023 Event: Würth 400 (Round 11 of 36) Series: NASCAR Cup Series Location: Dover International Speedway (1-mile oval) Format: 400 laps, broken into three stages (120 laps/130 laps/150 laps) Start/Finish: 15th / 35th (accident, completed 35 of 400 laps) Point Standing: 17th with 231 points Notes: Trackhouse Racing driver Daniel Suárez finished 35th in Monday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Dover (Del.) Motor Speedway. The finish moves Suárez to 17th in the season point standings. Suárez started 15th and raced in ninth until lap 34 when the car broke loose in turn three and hit the outside wall. The damage was too great to continue. Rain on Sunday forced NASCAR to hold the race on Monday. The next race is the AdventHealth 400 on Sunday at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas. FS1 will broadcast the race at 3 p.m. ET. Daniel Suárez, driver of the No. 99 Pitbull/Freeway Insurance Chevrolet Camaro for Trackhouse Racing: “The conditions were perfect. I don’t think it had anything to do with the track. The track was good, the car was really good. For how quick I lost the car, I think I had a tire going down or something because it happened instantly. My car wasn’t loose and I didn’t have a warning or anything. It’s unfortunate to be out of the race this early at a racetrack that we normally run very well at.”
