SUÁREZ LEAVES DOVER WITH ANOTHER TOP-15 FINISH

Daniel Suárez entered the race weekend at Dover International Speedway, looking to make a strong run as the Monster Energy Cup Season nears its end. During the first caution on lap nine in Stage 1, Suárez pitted from 17th for fuel, four tires and adjustments to help a tight condition on exit. The ARRIS driver made a scheduled green-flag pit stop on lap 82 for four tires, fuel and adjustments and returned to the track 17th, one lap down. During the Stage 1 break, Suárez pitted from 16th for fuel, four tires and adjustments to help the front end on his ARRIS Mustang.

Suárez began Stage 2 in 21st and found his way up to 18th on lap 177. Suárez pitted on lap 183 from 18th for fuel, four tires and more adjustments to help the No. 41 Mustang turn better. He returned to the track in the 18th spot. The race remained green for the rest of the stage and Suárez ended it 16th. Suárez pitted during the stage break for fuel, four tires and adjustments after reporting the front was tight and the back end was out of control.

Suárez entered Stage 3 in 16th and eventually charged forward to 15th.  While in 15th position, the Mexico native made a scheduled green-flag pit stop on lap 316.  As the long green-flag run continued, Suárez was in the 14th position with 50 laps remaining. The conclusion of the race remained under green, and Suárez finished in 14th.

“It was very hard to pass today at Dover. We obviously didn’t get the result we were looking for in the ARRIS Mustang, but we’ll move on to next week at Talladega. My guys are working really hard, and we still have races left to go and win.”
