Suárez struggled in the first two stages but restarted in the top-10 in the final stage and held his position over the final 20 laps. The Kansas race marked the fourth of 10 playoff races. Two races remain in the second round of the playoffs when four of the 12 playoff drivers will be eliminated from contention. With his 13th-place finish Sunday, Suárez is tenth of the 12 drivers with 14 points behind the eighth and final transfer position. Four drivers will be eliminated every three races with the four remaining drivers competing in a winner-take-all Championship race at Phoenix Raceway on Nov. 8. The second race in the Round of 12 is Sunday at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway. We couldn’t make the front turn on the short runs, and we were way too free on the long runs. We just struggled with the balance all day. We didn’t feel very good. It was a decent finish, but I definitely feel like our Chevy had much more potential.”
