  • Daniel Suárez finished 15th in Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Cup Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
  • The finish moved Suárez to 23rd in the season standings after 15 races.
  • Suárez qualified ninth Saturday morning and ran in the top 10 for most of the first stage.
  • A cut tire on lap 94 forced the No. 99 to pitlane. Suárez fell to 29th and two laps behind the leaders.
  • The No. 99 team improved the car’s handling and by race’s end was one of the fastest on the track.
  • The team used pit strategy throughout the race trying to return to the lead lap but with only four cautions in 600 miles of racing, it could not make up the lost laps.
  • The NASCAR Cup Series return to action Sunday June 6 on the road course at Sonoma (Calif.) Raceway. Fox will broadcast the race at 4 p.m. EDT.

Daniel Suárez, driver of the No. 99 Camping World Chevrolet Camaro for Trackhouse Racing:

“Our car was good. We were missing a couple adjustments at the beginning, but we were able to get it better there at the end. We just never got the caution that we needed.”
