Date: Oct. 27th, 2024 Event: Straight Talk Wireless 400 (Round 34 of 36) Series: NASCAR Cup Series Location: Homestead-Miami Speedway (1.5-mile oval) Format: 267 laps, broken into three stages (80 laps/85 laps/102 laps) Start/Finish: 23rd / 16th (completed 267 of 267 laps) Point Standing: 12th with 2185 points Notes: Trackhouse Racing driver Daniel Suárez finished 16th in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Homestead-Miami (Fla.) Speedway. Suárez raced in 28th place with about 40 laps to go when he put on new tires and appeared ready to post a top-15 or top-10 finish until an untimely caution with 10 laps remaining stalled that strategy. In a six-lap shootout after the caution, Suárez drove from 18th to 16th before the checkered flag fell. Suárez started 23rd Sunday, and gained spots in the first stage before finishing 14th. Suárez fell to 27th to start the second stage before finishing 24th. The NASCAR Cup Series returns to action Sunday at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway. Only two races remain in the 2024 season. Daniel Suárez, driver of the No. 99 Freeway Franchise.com Chevrolet Camaro for Trackhouse Racing: “It was an OK day for the No. 99 Freeway Franchise.com Chevy team. It was a little bit difficult when you have top-15 speed. We had a couple things that didn’t go our way; a penalty, slow stop and the strategy right there at the end. We finished close to what we deserved, so we’ll take it and move onto Martinsville (Speedway).”
