  • Both Trackhouse Racing Chevrolets gained spots on pit lane Sunday night as passing on the 1.5-mile oval proved difficult, but Suárez made it look easy.

  • NASCAR Cup Series returns to action Sunday for the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Daniel Suárez, driver of the No. 99 Freeway Insurance Chevrolet Camaro for Trackhouse Racing:

“I felt like we were pretty fast. Everyone at Trackhouse Racing – the 99 team, the 1 team, everyone has been doing a very, very good job building fast racecars. I feel like at one point, we were probably one of the best cars out there. Right down to the very end, we probably were not. We were at a disadvantage on tires, as well. It was a huge fight. We started in the back, fought all the way to the top-10 or something like that and then tires changed. I’m just happy with the result. Hopefully we can close the deal next week in the Coca-Cola 600.”
