  • Trackhouse Racing driver Daniel Suárez finished 33rd in Sunday’s 400-lap NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond (Va.) Raceway.
  • Both Trackhouse Chevrolets struggled with handling issues on the .75-mile, D-shaped oval. The race featured only one unplanned caution that came in the final 10 laps providing few chances to make adjustments.
  • Suárez started 33rd Sunday, and stayed on the lead lap in the first stage finishing 29th.
  • Suárez used a one-stop strategy in the second stage. The stage ran without caution and Suárez finished 30th.
  • The final stage ran without caution until another car made contact with Suárez sending him into a spin. He pitted and returned to the track.
  • The Cup Series returns to action Sunday, Aug. 6 at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn.

Daniel Suárez, driver of the No. 99 Jockey Chevrolet Camaro for Trackhouse Racing:

“We struggled all weekend. We were loose in, tight in the middle and loose off. We couldn’t get the back end of our car to do what we needed it to do. We’ll be better at Michigan next week.”
