Raceway. Suárez is 24th in the season standings after 28 of 36 races. Suárez started 22nd Saturday and finished 20th in the first stage and 21st in the second, despite suffering a pit road penalty then sent him to the rear of the field for a restart. The No. 99 entered the final stage one lap behind the leader. The chassis changes throughout the race began to pay off with improved handling in the final stage as Suárez raced up to 15th. The long green flag runs in the second half of the race never allowed Suárez an opportunity to return to the lead lap and he finished 17th. The Cup Series will return to action Saturday Sept. 18 at Bristol (Tenn.) Motor Speedway. NBCSN will televise Sunday’s race at 7:30 p.m. EDT. Daniel Suárez, driver of the No. 99 Good Sam Chevrolet Camaro for Trackhouse Racing: “[The race] was okay. We’ve got some work to do. I think we were better than that, towards the end with the speed that we had. We were struggling a lot with the rear of the car. We will keep working to keep getting better.”
