The finish moves Suárez to 16th in the season point standings. After running at the front early in the race, both Trackhouse cars were deep in the field when the race resumed with 56 laps remaining. Suárez used a set of scuffed tires to race to 15th. Suárez’s team had saved a set of new tires hoping for a caution that would give them an advantage in the closing laps. Despite a race record 11 cautions, the yellow flag never came out when it was needed for the No. 99 team. The Trackhouse Chevrolet jumped out quickly with Suárez finishing fifth in Stage 1. Suárez encountered front end damage and struggled with handling before pitting for repairs during a caution. Both drivers pitted in the closing laps of the second stage and finished outside the points. The next race is Sunday’s Goodyear 400 at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway. FS1 will broadcast the race at 3 p.m. EDT. Daniel Suárez, driver of the No. 99 Worldwide Express Chevrolet Camaro for Trackhouse Racing: “It was an up and down day for us. I think we had a really good Worldwide Express Chevrolet. We had some damage early and that hurt us for a while. We could have used a caution there at the end. We were one of the few teams that still had fresh tires. If we keep running this fast we are going to be fine.”
