Suárez is 25th in the season standings after 33 of 36 races. Suárez started 19th Sunday and narrowly dodged a 15-car accident on lap 31 after a restart. Suárez finished Stage 1 in 15th and Stage 2 in 14th. The No. 99 began climbing up the scoring monitor in the final stage moving as high as seventh with less than 50 laps to go. Suárez battled with the leaders in the closing laps dropping as far back as 14th before finishing 10th in a two-lap shootout. It was the fourth top-10 of the 2021 season for the No. 99 Trackhouse team. It marked Suárez’s third top-10 finish at Texas. Sunday was Freeway Insurance’s first primary race with Trackhouse Racing. The Cup Series will return to action Sunday, Oct. 24 at Kansas Speedway. NBCSN will televise Sunday’s race at 2 p.m. EDT. We just struggled in traffic more than everyone else it seemed. But we are getting better and continuing to improve. It was a good weekend. We met a lot of Freeway customers on Saturday and hosted a lot of employees and friends on Sunday at the track.”
